Happy Halloween

Snapshots of Life: 5 P.M.

I'm a total sucker for documenting my life.  I love scrapbooking.  I take an obsessive number of pictures of my cats...nightly.  I am constantly taking cell phone pictures when I'm out-and-about. 

So when I saw this new feature on Eighteen25, I knew this would be another great way to document!! How it works is every Wednesday night, the site will post a time for everyone to take a picture the next day.  So then you have to take a picture at that very moment of whatever you are doing.  Today's time was 5 P.M.  Here's my picture:

I was really hoping that this 5:00 P.M. shot would be of me actually shutting down my computer for the night, but alas, I had to work past 5 again tonight! (One more week, one more week. I can do it!) So instead, here is what I was doing at 5 tonight- finalizing workpapers for the quarter. Good times. 

And Another Quarter Begins...

Today starts another busy time of year for me, work wise. I'm already feeling like this:

Yep, I'm feeling like a crazy-haired monkey and if I have another person ask me if we are done yet, I might just start sucking my thumb!

I need happy thoughts and prayers today that I'll be "allowed" to leave work at a decent hour or at least "allowed" to eat dinner tonight. 

Caturday Presents: Faucet Fun

Willie and Kimmie have recently discovered faucets. Apparently when you are a cat, fresh water out of a bowl just doesn't cut it. Nope, you have to have water straight from the source. I've almost been late for work just about every day this week because they are most amused with the water first thing in the morning...and their amusement amuses me.

Her head was soaked after this. I tried to give her a little Mohawk, but she was having none of that.




I thought cats were supposed to be adverse to water!

What is your favorite part? How Kimmie sticks her whole head under the faucet? How she gets water up her nose? How she gets a soaking paw then flings it all over everything How Willie acts like he is too cool for the faucet, when he actually loves it?
